ELLE – When Kendall Jenner appears at a dinner party, the event is a little different than the lasagna / Pandora combo at our house.
For one thing, the meal’s not in a Brooklyn walk-up… it’s in the legendary Maison Courrèges, a Paris atelier that helped give birth to fashion’s mod movement. (Designer André Courrèges was one of the first to use PVC and metallic fabric; he also dressed Audrey Hepburn for Balenciaga.)
Then there was the guest list, which bordered on Girl Gang status: supermodels Constance Jablonski and Joan Smalls, internet celebs Leandra Medine and Kristina Bazan, and a Marni-clad Solange.
And finally, the table decor: huge glass bowls filled with Courrèges’ new Estée Lauder collaboration, including white eyeliner (which Jablonski called “the most fun product I’ve ever used”), spacey pink pods filled with blush, and the best false Twiggy lashes we’ve seen in a while.
Before we grabbed our favorite colors (#NoShame), we spoke with Jenner about her current beauty routine, her Paris catwalk wins, and bargain shopping in LA.
Your makeup is usually so minimal, but that lipstick you’re wearing is super bright!
It’s called Rosy Future. It’s from the Courrèges collection. This dress is Courrèges too, actually.
Did you know about Courrèges before this Estée Lauder collection? Are you a big vintage girl?
Not so much. I wear vintage; I do. But I wouldn’t consider myself a full-on collector, you know?

What does a girl with the world at her feet wear after dark? Kendall Jenner—model-of-the-moment, social media sensation, and the new face of Estée Lauder—plunges into party season.
It’s called Sphere-360°. Download immediately!” instructs Kendall Jenner, her face illuminated by her iPhone 6 across a table at the Bowery Hotel’s Gemma restaurant. This app, she swears, will change my life.
A willowy nineteen-year-old brunette, Jenner emerged as an unequivocal star at the spring collections. She walked thirteen major shows and became the talk of the fashion crowd, from New York’s front row to dinners at Paris’s Caviar Kaspia to Twitter, where she topped the season’s most-discussed personalities.

Style – When Kendall Jenner finally arrived at New York’s Lavo nightclub last night to celebrate her DuJour magazine spread, she had plenty to say regarding yesterday’s media buzz about dropping her famous last name.
“I can’t believe it’s actually becoming a story,” said Kendall, who turned out with her sister Kylie, who is also in the Bruce Weber-lensed DuJour editorial. “I did it last season as well. I’m not sure why it’s just becoming a thing. It’s not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be.”
(Side note: While she was clearing the air, she also wanted to clarify another rumor. Kendall and Kylie are both single ladies. “We are really not dating anyone, but supposedly I’m dating, like, 15 other people, according to the press,” she said. “It’s really crazy!”)
After making her debut for Fall 2014 and then walking at Couture, Kendall’s busy prepping for what is sure to be a busy next few weeks, with New York fashion week getting under way on Tuesday. What’s her beauty secret? “Ugh, sleep,” she reported. “You’ve got to get your sleep. I’m just keeping it cool,” she said with the confidence of a seasoned catwalker. Now that she’s no longer the rookie on the runway, we asked her for advice for models making their debut this season. How does one go from a freshman to a star model so quickly? “Believe in yourself,” she told Style.com. “I took risks and steps that most people wouldn’t have expected from me. Be unexpected and just do your thing.”
DuJour – It’s incredibly hard to impress a pair of seen-it-all teenagers—especially when said teenagers are Kendall and Kylie Jenner, the youngest members of the Kardashian clan—unless, of course, you present them with five jaw-droppingly attractive male models. When that happens (and it did, one recent summer evening), the habitually unfazed sisters become wide-eyed and giddy, in the exact same way any “normal” high school girl might.

Be the first to see the designer looks on Kendall Jenner, Teen Vogue’s September cover star, as she shares with us her fears and fashion obsessions.
From rain boot stilettos to leather and cornrows, model Kendall Jenner puts her versatility on full display for the September cover shoot! Go behind the scenes as the rising star talks about runway nerves and her first time at Fashion Week.
Teen Vogue – First, for the record: There is nothing wrong with Kendall Jenner’s eyebrows. In their natural state they’re perfect, as dark and straight and well suited to her face as the thick head of almost-black hair that she (along with her four raven-haired sisters) inherited from her mother, Kris Jenner. But that hasn’t stopped a series of makeup artists—under the direction of various designers, stylists, and magazine editors—from repeatedly dyeing them so blonde they’re practically transparent. “I actually had them bleached today,” she says on the evening of her Teen Vogue interview, which takes place over cheeseburgers at Cafe Cluny in New York City. “This is the sixth time since February! I might have to start saying no at some point, because I’m getting worried they’re going to fall out!”

Grazia – We’ve spilled a lot of (virtual) ink documenting Kendall Jenner’s modelling career. You’d think that being a Kardashian would open doors, but in her LOVE Magazine cover interview Kendall reveals that she won’t let her famous name hold her back.
“I was like, ‘You know what? I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously. I want people to see that I can really do this. So I’m going to work for it,” and I worked. People think that it just came to me. But it didn’t. What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model.’
Kendall added: “Because of the TV show. Because of the Kardashian name. I was like, you know what? I realised I have to push hard. I have to push and be like, “Yo, this is what I want to do and I want you guys to take me seriously. And I’m not going to stop until you do.” She continued: “I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn’t recognize me. I was like, ‘Thank you. Please don’t recognize me.'”
