Calvin Klein Underwear

WWD – Kendall Jenner loves posing in her underwear. Jenner, one of the most followed and photographed people in the world, will join the steamy society of Marky Mark, Michael Bergin, Kate Moss, Eva Mendes, Justin Bieber, Lara Stone and Christy Turlington, who over the years have all stripped down to their Calvin Klein undies.

In terms of daring, the new underwear ads rank up there with some of Calvin’s sexiest. And the company’s creative team sees the campaign as a reassertion of its risqué tradition, signaling the return of “The Original Sexy.”

The 19-year-old model was shot with Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana and Edita Vilkeviciute. The ads break at the end of the month.

“It was super fun. Every girl loves posing in her underwear. It’s always fun to do that,” Jenner, reached last week in London, told WWD. “I’m close with Joan, and me and all the girls are friends.”

Shot by Mikael Jansson in New York, the campaign features individual portraits of the models showcasing an elevated assortment of embroidered lace sling balconettes (a shelf bra that lifts the breasts to enhance their appearance, shape and cleavage), plunge-neck chemises and bodysuits in seductive fits. The ads will focus on the higher-end product, Calvin Klein Black.

“Calvin Klein originated sexy, and we’re going to reclaim, reimagine and reimage it,” said Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer of Calvin Klein Inc. “We’re bringing together a powerful mix of women from all over the world to celebrate our heritage as a leader in the intimates category.”

The shoot took place at Pier 59 in New York. “I had flown in from Paris from Fashion Week for the day, and flew out that night to do the Chanel show,” said Jenner, who’s emerged as the fashion world’s most in-demand model and lives much of her life in the public eye via Planet Kardashian.

With 30 million followers on Instagram, Jenner plans to post some of the underwear photos on her own page. “The shoot was amazing. Mikael Jansson shot it, and he and I have a good chemistry. Having girls around who are all my friends, the energy was really great,” she said.

Kendall Jenner is the New Face of Calvin Klein Jeans

Vogue – If there were ever any doubts that Kendall Jenner was destined for supermodel stardom, now is the time to quell them: Today, Jenner is following in the footsteps of greats like Kate Moss and Brooke Shields as the new face of Calvin Klein Jeans.

The campaign, shot by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Melanie Ward, celebrates the brand’s new limited-edition Denim Series—a unisex offering inspired by athletic and urban streetwear.

“I’m honored to be a part of it, honestly,” said Jenner last night over the phone. “It’s iconic. It’s [a campaign] I would have seen all over and thought how cool it would be to be a part of.”

Jenner said the shoot was “super fun,” partially owing to the bad weather. “I mean the whole day was rainy,” she said. “When it rains, I have good energy, I’m in a good mood.”

Of course, she kept both Moss and Shields in mind while shooting, too. “They’re always my inspiration for anything,” she said. And though she’s too young to remember the moment when it came out, Jenner says the Calvin Klein campaign featuring Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg is one of her all-time favorites.

So, if she had to choose, would she consider herself more of a Kate or a Brooke?
“Kate Moss I guess,” she said. “She’s someone I’ve always looked up to.” Not a surprise, given that Jenner has always been singularly focused on becoming a model.

People – Leave it to Kendall Jenner to land the coolest possible Calvin Klein campaign. The supermodel-in-training — who’s been in ads for Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and Estée Lauder, and who is now a regular in the pages of Vogue — just released the first look at Calvin Klein’s exclusive denim series for cult fave store Opening Ceremony, of which she’s the face.

Shot by Alasdair McLellan in N.Y.C., the ads portray a lank-haired, fresh faced Jenner, 19, wearing throwback denim styles including overalls, athletic sweatshorts and cropped sweatshirts, all emblazoned with the brand’s logo. She also shares screen space with male model Simon Nessman, but let’s be honest, it’s all about Kendall in her Calvins.

“Modeling for Calvin Klein Jeans is really a dream come true,” Jenner said in a statement. “I’ve grown up wearing the brand and seeing the iconic advertising in magazines and on billboards featuring some of the world’s top supermodels. To now be a part of that legacy is truly an honor.”

The collection will run from $58 to $348 and include jeans, tees and joggers, plus unisex items like backpacks and hats. Amazing eyebrows (kind of a hallmark of Calvin Klein models) not included, unfortunately.

Vogue – “Gigi and I? We first met at Nobu Malibu,” says Jenner. “I knew her younger sister better back then, but—flash-forward a while—Gigi and I both ended up modeling in New York a lot, so we started to get together and, of course, clicked right away.”

Jenner, on the paparazzi: “I like to think that I can just grab a pair of sunglasses and go anywhere—but subconsciously I’m aware when I’m at the gym that I need to save some energy so I can do a 40-yard dash, in sub-4.5 seconds, straight to the front seat of my car when I leave.”

Kendall Explains Her Red Carpet Pose

ELLE – When Kendall Jenner appears at a dinner party, the event is a little different than the lasagna / Pandora combo at our house.

For one thing, the meal’s not in a Brooklyn walk-up… it’s in the legendary Maison Courrèges, a Paris atelier that helped give birth to fashion’s mod movement. (Designer André Courrèges was one of the first to use PVC and metallic fabric; he also dressed Audrey Hepburn for Balenciaga.)

Then there was the guest list, which bordered on Girl Gang status: supermodels Constance Jablonski and Joan Smalls, internet celebs Leandra Medine and Kristina Bazan, and a Marni-clad Solange.

And finally, the table decor: huge glass bowls filled with Courrèges’ new Estée Lauder collaboration, including white eyeliner (which Jablonski called “the most fun product I’ve ever used”), spacey pink pods filled with blush, and the best false Twiggy lashes we’ve seen in a while.

Before we grabbed our favorite colors (#NoShame), we spoke with Jenner about her current beauty routine, her Paris catwalk wins, and bargain shopping in LA.

Your makeup is usually so minimal, but that lipstick you’re wearing is super bright!
It’s called Rosy Future. It’s from the Courrèges collection. This dress is Courrèges too, actually.

Did you know about Courrèges before this Estée Lauder collection? Are you a big vintage girl?
Not so much. I wear vintage; I do. But I wouldn’t consider myself a full-on collector, you know?

The New Face of Estée Lauder

What does a girl with the world at her feet wear after dark? Kendall Jenner—model-of-the-moment, social media sensation, and the new face of Estée Lauder—plunges into party season.

It’s called Sphere-360°. Download immediately!” instructs Kendall Jenner, her face illuminated by her iPhone 6 across a table at the Bowery Hotel’s Gemma restaurant. This app, she swears, will change my life.

A willowy nineteen-year-old brunette, Jenner emerged as an unequivocal star at the spring collections. She walked thirteen major shows and became the talk of the fashion crowd, from New York’s front row to dinners at Paris’s Caviar Kaspia to Twitter, where she topped the season’s most-discussed personalities.
